👌👍👍👍👍👍👍👍Great work sweden love it!!
Great work brother, I’m impressed
@Motorheadco thankyou bud. Definitely not going to be as nice as your car but will be a cool daily driver.
My favorite youtube channel 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
@@jesuslopez6609 hey thanks
@petersonrestorations this is one for you, the crusty S code coupe.
Making good progress.
Do you think a coupe headliner would fit in a fastback?
@Crafttime316 oh yes. I actually prefer coupe headliners
We will be at Rod Run. Hope to see you there. We camp at Clayboughs on wears Valley road.
@punkinsgarageandpaint8299 heck yea. We definitely gonna try to make it. Look for us.
Great to see you back on here. Can’t wait to see this ride done. Looking forward to you getting back on the charger.
@@jeffreychapman6287 I can't hardly wait to start back on the charger. I've been accumulating more parts.
@@MrGonein60 awesome 👏🏻, I’m a charger fan, have been since the dukes. My first car was a 69 mustang fastback btw.
Do they have a diagram showing where to put all the brackets, the weather is going to be better this week I'll be posting pictures on your Eleanor mustang club, and the Mustang Shelby is looking awesome
@Must-Stangingarage I'm really not sure about bracket location diagram. I just place brackets in place as I go. It's pretty simple.
Have you ever used old windlace to hold new headliner to the windshield seam and rear glass seam, for installation. Works fantastic. Obviously it must be removed to install glass, but works great as a tool.
Oh yes. Many many times. Thankfully on these hot days the adhesive dries fast and holds it well. In the winter I use the old windlace trick
I just replaced a broken window in my RV and the butyl tape to hold it in with is gooey like bull snot and it gets all over everything.
@jonmattingly700 oh yes. I hate the stuff. It get everywhere and is hard to clean up
That mustang is looking dam nice ❤❤❤❤❤I would like to get it
Thankyou.
A tip on the headliner use old wind lace cut them up in 3 inch long test fit then glue works well I’ve done many
@roberthirshfield3571 I've done it that way also. It was over 100 degrees outside. Adhesive dried super fast so I didn't have to use my windlace pieces. I do use that trick in the winter.
Hope you are doing ok, haven’t seen much on here by buddy.
@@jeffreychapman6287 I'm just trying to get ahead with customer builds. I've been recording though
Great video as always. I need to order a door for my 70 fastback which one do you recommend Dynacorn or Scott Drake?
@@motomarcel1 dynacorn
Have you decided on a price for car your working on
@@mikeseldomridge8052 not yet.
Would you sell the roof assembly off of the S code and do you have all the interior parts to make it right? Considering doing my coupe. It’s a nice C code coupe. Thanks
@@ivantheautobodyman3648 not for sale at the moment
@@MrGonein60 just curious what it would cost for you to convert mine in labor. I am in the collision repair business but can’t seem to find the time to do my own.
Where do you buy all the parts for coupe to fast back without have to buy all the pieces in kit you don’t need
@Crafttime316 I actually bought the unwelded version. I bought the whole sides I just use only what I need
@@MrGonein60 thanks
I want to do a coupe to fastback but
So many parts in kit I won’t need
Do you sell leftover kit parts
Really coming together , I know I complain about the weather here in Canada but it must be tough working in +100 degree weather especially when you are not feeling well. And yes the universe is weird
How's the cobra doing.
@@MrGonein60 just finalizing the colour combination. we are going pepper grey for main but trying to decide on stripe colour. We are thinking dark grey instead of traditional black. I am going to spray out a couple of test panels first
@68mustangrestoration34 oh wow. Pepper gray on cobra be nice. Are you using the 44490 paint code.
@@MrGonein60 yes. that is the one. When I saw the "S" code in your video I wanted to reach out and grab the car as that was exactly the one I had when I was 18 years old but boy she looks rough.
Out of curiosity, what would be a guesstimate on how much to fix the S code Fastback? Love the content bud, you have helped me take my first step. Wanting to build a Fastback, my dream is to build a 65-66 GT 350r clone. Looking forward to see this build painted and rolling!!
@mikeyhefner3877 I could fix all the rust for 5k or less. Of course finishing out the whole car would be very exspensive.
That's one I wish I could have you save. I kick myself for not buying an S code years and years ago. Beautiful black 390 car, 4 speed, NICE condition for around $8,000. Granted that was 30 years ago, 16 year old me passed on it.
@mikeyhefner3877 oh yea. Now a rough complete s code fetches 35-50k. Mines parted out and super rough. It's here though. I may try and bring her back to life. I've built much worse.
If you do, hope to see it! Do you ever do any 65-66 Coupe to Fastback conversions?
coming along nice
@@joseramos7476 thankyou
Looks great.
Thankyou so much
Best “satin black” is PPG DP 40 primer.. reduced 5-10 percent lay flat..
@@robaxelsson530 ill try that
@@MrGonein60 just measure by weight.. so it will be more consistent on the “sheen”
@robaxelsson530 I've used dp90 alot. Always loved the way it laid down and looked.
@@MrGonein60 wait.. DP-40 is black.. correct!?!? If not.. whatever PPG DP # is black.. it a lot cheaper (and more durable) than flattening agent for black
Great video!
Thankyou
Your doing a fabulous job all around the car
@@MattSmith-qn9cv thankyou
What do you use to bond the Eleanor
Body kits to steel?
@@Crafttime316 I use the green duraglass.
@@MrGonein60 thanks!
@@MrGonein60 do you use a glue behind
The body parts before the duraglass
@Crafttime316 I use the duraglass to bond on the fiberglass bodykit. The panel bond adhesive does not hold well. I've seen fender flares and rocker panels pop loose to many times. With duraglass the bodykit will not pop loose. If it does it's because the car was involved in a accident lol
